Jason Kidd making the Mavs go

Josh Howard came back a little too early and is back out of the lineup for a while longer. Dirk has been playing great basketball, Jason Kidd is making this team go. The bench is proving a big time lift especially the front line. The Mavs arent flashy or exciting to watch but they could be a piece away from really giving the Nuggets, Lakers and Spurs serious fits in the playoffs.

Trade idea 1 – Mavericks trade Josh Howard to the Pistons for Richard Hamilton

Trade idea 2 – Mavericks trade Josh Howard and Erick Dampier to the Bucks for Kurt Thomas and Michael Redd

Dallas Mavericks Season Preview

Dallas Mavericks – Age maybe a major concern for the Mavericks, the time to win is right now for this team. Jason Kidd has lost a step or two but uses his intellect to remain a capable defender. The addition of Shawn Marion should help the Mavericks transition game, Marion is still a solid defender tho his scoring average has declined the past three seasons. They will often have to play a small lineup due to the fact that no one has to worry about guarding Erick Dampier. Drew Gooden, Tim Thomas and Kris Humphries provide them with depth in the frontcourt.

Key Additions: Shawn Marion, Rodrigue Beaubois,  Kris Humphries, Quinton Ross, Drew Gooden, Tim Thomas

Key Subtractions: Brandon Bass, Antonie Wright, Greg Buckner, Devean George

Projected Starting Lineup: Jason Kidd/ Josh Howard/ Shawn Marion/ Dirk Nowitzki/ Erick Dampier

Key Reserves: Jason Terry, Drew Gooden, Jose Juan Barea, Kris Humphries, Quinton Ross, Tim Thomas, Matt Carroll
