Dallas leads 59-29 at halftime. Three biggest storylines:

1. Dirk Nowitzki went to the locker room after about 10 minutes in the 1st quarter. Not sure what his status is right now.

2. Josh Howard has done his best impersonification of Dirk by scoring 12 at the half.

3. At a point in the 1st quarter, Harris showed off his jumpshot improvement from the off-season by making two in a row.

Unfortunately, Dirk Nowitzki went to the locker room just about 20 minutes ago (after 10 minutes). He was started off hot with 6 points and 6 rebounds, and it doesn’t seem to be a “physical” injury. It has to do with something else…

 Mavs are up by 10 right now, after Toronto just scored their 10th straight. Dirk needs to come back in the 2nd half.

After three quarters of play, the Dallas Mavericks lead the Minnesota Timberwolves, 76-61. The game has had no competition whatsoever after the first quarter, and for once, Dirk isn’t the leading scorer, at 11. Dampier is actually the one with 12 right now. The other center for the Mavs, DeSagana Diop, is playing lights out on defense yet again! He has 3 blocks and 7 rebounds in 15 minutes, while Damp has 12 points and 7 boards in 19 on 6-8 shooting. Now, time to sit back and enjoy the 4th!
